The 8 unmissable viewpoints of the Ski Area

1) Porta Vescovo 2487 m

Ideal place to admire the most important peaks of the eastern Dolomites. To the south you can see the Marmolada glacier 3,343 m, the Piccolo and Grande Vernel. To the East, you can see on the horizon the peak of Col di Lana, the Nuvolau, the Averau, the Croda da Lago, the Sorapiss, the Antelao and the fascinating Pelmo. To the north you can see the Sella Massif with its highest peak: Piz Boè 3,152 m, the Puez, the Sasso della Croce, the Lagazuoi and the Tofane. To the west you can see the Catinaccio and the Sassolungo group.

2) Burz 1.936 m

A privileged point of view to admire the picturesque village of Arabba and the peaks of the Dolomites that surround it, especially in the late afternoon when the phenomenon of enrosadira is about to begin. The Burz, can be defined as a hill, is located below the massif southeast of the Sella, with a view of Porta Vescovo, Pordoi Pass, Col di Lana and in the distance Pelmo, Sett Sass and Bec de Roces.

3) Bec de Roces 2.160 m

The name comes from the bizarrely shaped pinnacles of rocks that can be seen above the arrival point of the Le Pale chairlift. The scenery is enchanting, you are in the heart of the Sellaronda skitour at the foot of the Sella Group. A 360° panorama that sweeps from the Austrian Alps to the Venetian Prealps.

4) Pordoi Pass 2.239 m

A postcard scenery, with the sun peeping out. The most beautiful view of the Sella is from here, this pass divides the Sella group from the Marmolada group which can be seen in the distance. From the pass you can decide to access the Sella massif with the cable car that goes up to the overhanging Sass Pordoi 2,950 m, where the environment becomes lunar.

5) Pralongià 2.157 m

The sky seems to become bluer and the panorama of the Fodom valley and Val Badia as well as the peaks of the Dolomites slowly unfolds before your eyes, giving you an amazing view. The panoramic viewpoint is already an emotion, it seems like a geography lesson: the ridges of the Conturines, part of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park, the dominating silhouette of Sassonger, one of the bastions of the Puez-Odle Natural Park, the royal profile of the Marmolada and, on the horizon, the glittering glaciers of the Austrian Alps.

6) Cherz 2088 m

The Cherz plateau is located above Passo Campolongo; it can be defined as a natural amphitheater with a sensational view where the white meadows with snow-covered trees transmit an almost fairy-like atmosphere. The view: to the north, Val Badia with the Sella group, Sassongher, Sass Ciampac, Piz de Lavarela, Pia Dles Conturines, the Sass Dla Crusc group and Sass Putia in the background. To the east, the Tofane, Lagazuoi, the Cima Scotoni group with Fanes. To the south the Civetta, the Sief and Col di Lana, the Pelmo and the queen mountain of the Dolomites: the Marmolada.

7) Padon Pass 2.369 m

Panoramic point on the north face of the Marmolada, you can see with the naked eye the route of the Bellunese slope, 12 kilometers that from Punta Rocca leads to Malga Ciapela. You can also see the Agner, Auta, Piz de Guda, Sasso Bianco, Civetta, Pelmo, Mesola, Tofane, Cristallo, Conturines, Lavarella, Sett Sass, Col di Lana and you can admire the entire valley of Fodom with the villages of Pieve di Livianlongo and Ornella.

8) Marmolada - Punta Rocca 3.265 m

It is located on the highest point of the Dolomites. In spite of its "extreme" position, easily reachable also by disabled people, it can be reached in less than 15 minutes from Malga Ciapela, an elevator takes you up to the terrace where you can finally lose yourself in a breathtaking and vast landscape: from Sassolungo, Venoste Alps, to Pale di San Martino passing through Adamello, Civetta, Pelmo, Tofane, Sella, Puez - Odle, Sassongher, Sasso Croce, the Dolomites of the National Park of Fanes, Sennes, Braies and, in the clearest days up to the lagoon of Venice.
