Helmjet Sexten
The Monte Elmo Sesto cable car was first put into operation in February 1981. Back then, it was the most modern of its kind. For nearly 40 years, it carried skiers, hikers and families to the summit of Monte Elmo every day—until everything changed in 2020. In a year marked by changes and reforms, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort is undergoing its own renovations: the dated cable car is being replaced by the new, detachable premium 10-seater “HELMJET SEXTEN” gondola lift.
Every new lift we build is special to me. But the “HELMJET SEXTEN” is a passion project: we have all been waiting for it for many years.

In 2014, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort (then called the ‘Sesto Dolomites’) consisted of a mere 50 kilometres of slopes on two mountains. Today, just over half a decade and many courageous decisions later, 3 Zinnen AG has turned the ski area into a little gem. The company itself has expanded into a resort in its own right, too: its assets include five connected skiing mountains, 115 kilometres of slopes, 31 modern cable cars and lifts, five owner-run restaurants, ski and bike rental services and the Punka Service Centre, which is one of the most advanced service facilities in the Alps.
